MIKAYLA HOLLAND

INFO
Mikayla Holland is an Atlanta, GA native who has been writing music since she was seven and singing for longer than she can remember. Her diverse musical influences - ranging from Americana folk to hardcore punk - give her music a unique sound that is at times driving and noisy and at times hauntingly beautiful.
As a child she spent countless hours learning songs by the Indigo Girls and Lori McKenna on her guitar, and now covers pop, folk, blues, rock, and punk. However, her favorite songs to play are the ones she wrote herself, which are equally varied in sound and genre. Her powerful soprano vocals treat her blues punk murder ballads and upbeat Americana folk anthems with equal intensity and grace.
After many years playing only for her family and friends, Mikayla has recorded a few self-produced tracks of her original songwriting. All of these recordings, in addition to a few of her favorite covers, are available here on her website and on Soundcloud.com.
